This Memorial Day weekend I got to hang with Mommy's best friends. I saw my Aunt Nessy for the first time since Christmas! Aunt Kitty and Keren were with us too. Mommy and Daddy did alot of grilling and eating while I got alot of love from the ladies !

the wrong side of the bed

Today was a little rough. I had my first fall and it was off the bed. Mommy didn't realize how good I was getting at scooting around and while she was brushing her teeth - I scooted right off the bed. Mommy was amazed that I landed on my hands and knees. She said I am just like a cat! I cried because it scared me - but after a minute or 2 - I was back to my old self with not a mark on me. What a way to start the day! The other big news is that I let Grandma D feed me an avocado and I loved it.

flippin', gainin' and maybe... walkin'?

So today was my 6 month check up. I heard Mommy tell the doctor I roll over almost every time I am placed on my back and that I am getting better at sitting up on my own every day. I weigh 15 pounds 2 ounces which means I have gained exactly 9 pounds and 3 ounces since the day I was born. I only had 3 shots and hardly cried. Daddy came from work to hold me during that part. Dr. Soppas said that since I am so active I may be an early walker!! Mommy wasn't too into that idea.

This time Mommy hooked it up with some rice cereal mixed with the liquid gold I like so much. It tasted way better than that lousy banana thing. Maybe I could get used to this....

go bananas

i have hit the big 6 month mark which meant it was time for me to have a taste of what some people call 'real food'. mommy mashed a banana - daddy and her took turns trying to get it into my mouth. ick. i think i'll stick to that real stuff only mommy makes.

and baby makes three

Exactly 2 years, 3 weeks, and 1 baby - it took for Mommy and Daddy to get back to this spot on the beach. They explained to me that it was where they pledged their love to one another in front of some of the most important people in their lives. Next time maybe I will take the picture!

'gator spotting

Today we hiked the trail at the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge. It was about 4 miles. I slept part the way but Mommy said I didn't miss much. We did see a Black Snake, a Roseate Spoonbill and a few different Herons. I really just wanted to see an Alligator. We finally did but it wasn't until evening and it was back at the bayou behind our hotel. It was a baby just like me!

Yesterday was a big day for me. For the record, I had my first dip in the pool and my first nap on the beach. I love this place.

Dear Aunt Kitty, Today is your special day! And you deserve it. I hope you do something really nice for yourself today. Thanks for always taking good care of my mommy. She really loves you. She says she can't believe you have been friends for 17 years! Oh, and I picked a little something up for you down here - lets get together when I am back in town! Lots of love, Jack.

Today's Mommy's day- Just a nationally marketed... err- I mean recognized day to say thanks to her for all the stuff she does for me. Man, it's a whole lot of stuff... stuff I didn't even know she was doing for me when I was in her belly- then the stuff she did to get me safely out of her belly, and all the times she let me sleep on her belly- even though she wasn't. Seriously it's probably enough for a whole other blog, so Daddy and I let her sleep in (a little), and then we took her to the beach, then out for some fish tacos and for something called a mojito. I 'm not sure what that last thing was but it seemed to do the trick. I love you Mom and you won't have to wait till next year to hear that again.

mommy and daddy weren't the only ones having fun tonight. while they were outside drinkin' red stripes ... i was in the hotel room having my own fun. 2 queen size beds and a new pair of shades....yeah, i wear my sunglasses at night.....

planes, teethingpains, and automobiles...

Yesterday I earned my wings- I flew for the first time.
I did great- I slept for a little while, ate for a little while, and smiled a whole lot. I was the best baby on the flight- and that was coming from the grumpy old man sitting next to us.

goodbye philly, hello sanibel

Tomorrow we leave for Sanibel Island, Fl. This is my first trip on a plane outside of Mommy's tummy. I am very excited. Mommy and Daddy said they are going to get a picture in this exact spot again - but this time including me !!!

my best twin cyber-girlfriends sent me this cool night light. i think it will really help me when i start getting scared of the dark! daddy took me in the basement stairwell to take this picture - i wasn't scared at all!

problemas de la dentición

its cinco de mayo weekend and i am cutting teeth. it really hurts. so far tylenol, teething tablets and cerveza have helped.

fresh and exciting

friday me and my buddies spent another afternoon at the park. then we laid on a blanket and all had our diapers changed in the fresh air... aahhhhhh.

I loved every minute of my trip to Ohio. I was spoiled with love from everyone I saw. And Mommy ate alot of the good food Grandma made so I think that means I ate some of it too!
